Partners for Youth Foundation now accepting scholarship applications for Fall 2015

SOUTH FLORIDA -The Partners for Youth Foundation is now accepting applications for the Anthony Baker Scholarship to be awarded at the 26th anniversary Coronation Ceremony of the Miss Jamaica Florida pageant on Sunday, June 28, 2014, at the Coral Springs Center for the Performing Arts.

The annual non-renewable scholarship is awarded to a female student, of African or Caribbean descent, between ages 17 and 24 years of age.  The student must have a GPA of 3.0 reflective in transcript, accepted or already enrolled at a tertiary institution located in South Florida (Dade, Broward or Palm Beach County), and pursuing studies in the Arts curriculum.

Required details of the interested applicant should accompany a one page essay on “The Significance the Arts Play in our Society Today” to be forwarded by the deadline Wednesday, June 17.  The information with a short bio can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Partners for Youth Foundation 1941 NW 47th Avenue, Lauderhill, FL 33313.
