Now Booking, JetBlue Flights to the Turks & Caicos Islands from New York

NEW YORK – JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) announces the popular destination, Providenciales (PLS), in the Turks & Caicos Islands, is available for bookings starting today (Oct. 13) with an introductory sale with fares as low as $119*. Daily flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) are scheduled to begin on Feb. 17, 2011, and seasonal, weekly Saturday service is planned to commence on Feb. 19 from Boston Logan International airport (Subject to receipt of government operating authority.). Flights are now available online at www.jetblue.com.

“JetBlue is very pleased to add Providenciales, in the Turks & Caicos Islands, to its Caribbean destination options,” said Scott Laurence, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning. “We are happy to provide the JetBlue Experience to more customers and more destinations, complete with a free first checked bag, all-leather seats, the most legroom in coach of any U.S. airline, free movies at every seatback, unlimited free snacks and most importantly, the friendly award-winning service.”

Providenciales will be JetBlue’s 64th destination and its 17th destination in the Caribbean. With the addition of the Turks & Caicos Islands, the carrier would serve 39 nonstop destinations from Boston.

JetBlue intends to operate its Providenciales service with spacious 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. The A320 offers travelers all of the amenities for which JetBlue has become well-regarded: first checked bag free (b), complimentary seatback televisions including free first-run movies, comfortable leather seats, the most legroom in coach of any U.S. airline (c), unlimited free snacks and award-winning customer service.
