Nonstop Miami to Bermuda flight on American Airlines

HAMILTON, BERMUDA – Visitors from South Florida and connecting
gateways will be “in the pink” come March, pink sand that is, as Bermuda expands its visitor gateway markets with new air service to the island from Miami via American Airlines.

The new flight, operating on a Boeing 737 with 126-passenger capacity in coach class and a 16-passenger capacity in first class, will depart Miami International Airport at 5:00 p.m. and arrive in Bermuda at 8:33 p.m., with return flights departing Bermuda at 9:36 a.m.; returning to Miami at 11:30 a.m. The flight will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays from until June 8, and then 5 days a week (all days except for Monday and Tuesday) after June 9.

According to Bermuda’s Minister of Tourism and Transport, Dr. The Honorable Ewart F. Brown, JP, MP, the new service is a welcome addition to Bermuda’s expanding gateway network because it gives many travelers a new and easier choice in their vacation options.

“Knowing that Miami serves as a major gateway city from the Caribbean, Latin America, and major southwestern U.S. markets including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Dallas-Fort Worth, this is obviously a very exciting new route,” states Minister Brown. “This increased service is the result of a concentrated effort on the part of our Ministry to develop more direct and non-stop routes to Bermuda for the convenience of both our many repeat and first-time visitors.”

To celebrate the new flight, American Airlines is rolling out the welcome mat to Bermuda with incredible introductory rates from Miami and connecting cities.

Bermuda, just a short flight from the East Coast, stretches for 21.6 miles along turquoise waters, surrounded by a 200-square-mile coral reef plateau. Bermuda’s friendly people and exciting, diverse activities are why participants in the 2004 Conde Nast Traveler readers’ poll named Bermuda “Best Island – Caribbean/Atlantic Region” for the 11th year in a row.
