Nevis Tourism Authority Launches New Website

Charlestown, Nevis – The Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) is pleased to announce the launch of its fully featured website for tourism marketing, www.nevisisland.com  The new website went live on Friday, May 9, 2014.

Designed to assist visitors to the site to make well informed decisions about traveling to Nevis, the revamped website has improved Structure and Navigation, gives a comprehensive overview of the island and has extensive content. The site has been redesigned for an improved spacious layout, including an intuitive navigation with a more standardized menu structure.

The website’s focus is on activities, beaches, dining, ecotourism, sport, accommodations and transportation options. There is access to a calendar of events that is updated weekly. It also includes a library of current photographs.

“NevisIsland.com users are engaged and loyal travelers. We listened to the requests of our community and redesigned our site to provide them with a better online experience.

The result is a fresh, new look with streamlined navigation and more travel content. Now users accessing Nevis travel information are able to easily navigate through the expanded rich content,” says NTA, CEO, Greg Phillip. “In line with the current global efforts to promote tourism and increased competition, we want to also showcase the very best of Nevis.

Consequently, the new website provides information regarding each element that relates to a visitor vacationing with us and gives them with the easiest way of accessing comprehensive information about our island,” he concluded.

Getting to Nevis from the U.S. is simple. Several U.S. carriers offer non-stop, same day service from the major gateway cities to St. Kitts with a 7 minute connection to Nevis water taxi. Hotels will happily arrange water transfers to and from St. Kitts.

American Airlines has enhanced its daily Miami to St Kitts service by adding two non-stop flights on Fridays and Sundays. American Airlines also has non-stop service from New York to St. Kitts on Sundays and Wednesdays.

US Airways has service from Charlotte to St. Kitts on Saturdays and Delta also flies from Atlanta to St. Kitts on Saturdays.

Continental, Delta, United Airlines, USAir and JetBlue provide service from several U.S. cities to San Juan, Puerto Rico with convenient connections to Nevis on Cape Air, Tradewinds Aviation and Seaborne Airlines.
