Nerdin St. Rose Joins Saint Lucia Tourist Board’s Executive Team

CASTRIES, Saint Lucia – The Saint Lucia Tourist Board has announced the appointment of marketing and public relations specialist Nerdin St. Rose (PRONOUNCED NUH-DEEN) to its newly created post of Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

Chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourist Board, Laurie Barnard, announced that St. Rose, a St. Lucian national, will move from her public relations and marketing practice in the Turks and Caicos Islands – where she currently lives, to spearhead the island’s marketing charge on a full time basis starting in January 2010.

“We consider it a blessing to have attracted the indigenous, home-grown and talented Nerdin St. Rose to lead our marketing and sales efforts into the new year,” said Barnard, who noted that St. Rose brings more than 20 years of experience in the areas of marketing, sales and hospitality management.

In addition to working in the hotel sector in Saint Lucia, her career highlights include stints with several advertising and communications firms, including Travel Weekly – a major travel industry publication, and in television with BET Digital Networks where she was project manager for music festivals produced in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean.
