FT. LAUDERDALE – Three local South Florida fans will soon have an opportunity to get up close and personal with reggae entertainer Nadine Sutherland.
The popular artist will be in South Florida next week (April 26) for several personal appearances to promote her new album, Call My Name (released April 3 on Eight76 Records), including an official press reception at Karl’s Seafood Restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale on April 26th.
Prior to the reception, Nadine will have dinner with three contest winners from local radio stations at the same restaurant. Each station will run its own contest to choose a winner who will then be Nadine’s dinner guests that evening.
The dinner with Nadine is just one of the many prizes that will be given as Nadine and Eight76 Records celebrate the release of the album.

On Saturday, April 28, Nadine will appear at the FYE Store in Sawgrass Mills to meet fans and sign copies of Call My Name. During the appearance, people will have an opportunity to win exclusive prizes including a Motorola A1200 cell phone preloaded with custom ring tones, mp3 players preloaded with Nadine’s new album, and a collection of music from Eight76 Records.
Also, people will be able to enter the drawing for the grand prize; passes, travel, and accommodations for the album’s Jamaica launch party next month. Sponsors for the contests include Air Jamaica, Karl’s Seafood, BigUpRadio.com, and Eight76 Records.
Since Call My Name was released two weeks ago, the album continues to receive glowing reviews from fans and critics alike. It has been called “uplifting”, “inspiring”, “multi-faceted”, “a revealing look into the heart of Nadine Sutherland”, and “a project that crosses many musical boundaries from reggae and dancehall to R&B and jazz”.
The album’s first single “Big Tingz” continues to gather steam at radio and the video has just entered Jamaica’s RE-TV Countdown at #39. Nadine is also scheduled to appear in Los Angeles at Jamaica Live/Dragonfly Club on May 3rd for the official west coast launch of the album.
