More Canadians enroute to Barbados thanks to Sandals story

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Barbados may very well be expecting a surge in visitors from the Canadian market after an impressive feature in Air Canada’s “enRoute” inflight magazine.

Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) CEO William Griffith has applauded Sandals Resorts following their 10-page insert in the inflight magazine, highlighting the new Barbados resort and the island as a premium destination.  Griffith expressed his approval of such initiatives by local partners as a great compliment to the work the BTMI is doing to market the destination.

The article describes Barbados as being “home to a lively culture that combines the best of British sophistication and island soul”, speaking to the easy access of fine dining, activities for every taste and rustic charm. Senior Designer of HPI Design, Sarah Hartman, who played a pivotal role in the property’s layout and picturesque appeal, also reiterated the island’s attractiveness as a travel destination. Hartman attributed her inspiration to Barbados’ beautiful sea and commented on the importance of guests leaving feeling refreshed, relaxed and in love.

Sandals Resort BarbadosCirculation of enRoute is currently around 119,942 with an estimated monthly readership of 1.1 million persons across both international and domestic Air Canada flights. This targeted marketing of our tourism product, is expected to keep the island on the mouths and in the minds of potential and repeat visitors anxiously awaiting the opportunity to escape everyday life for a taste of paradise.
