Miami-Dade launches new transportation web portal

Go.miamidade.gov will serve as a gateway to all transportation information

Want to make sure your flight is on schedule? Need a live update on traffic conditions on I-95? Interested in saving on gas by taking public transportation, but don’t know the bus and train schedules? Now you can access all the transportation information you need from a single easy-to-use website.

Miami-Dade County is proud to announce the launch of Go.miamidade.gov – the new gateway to all transportation services and information in Miami-Dade County.

Go.miamidade.gov is a partnership of 11 transportation and tourism-related agencies in South Florida including Miami-Dade Transit, Miami International Airport, the Seaport, the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority and the Greater Miami Visitors and Convention Bureau. The website features direct links to such information as Metrobus and Metrorail schedules, paratransit transportation services, how to sign up for a SunPass and People’s Transportation Plan updates. You can even get a bird’s-eye view of conditions on I-95 and the Dolphin and Palmetto expressways on one of the Florida Department of Transportation’s many live traffic cameras.

Website links are arranged by four basic categories – Air, Land, Sea and Accessible Services – to make it easy for people to find the information they’re looking for.

“There is a wealth of useful and exciting information about transportation and mass transit on the web, but most people don’t know where to look for it because it’s scattered among so many different websites. Go.miamidade.gov brings all that information together in one user-friendly website that makes it easy for people to get where they want to go,” said Miami-Dade Transit Director Roosevelt Bradley. “Go.miamidade.gov also is a great way to market Miami-Dade County to tourists and encourage them to use our transit system to get around.”
