Miami-Dade County’s Vice Chairwoman commemorates FANM/Haitian Women of Miami 20th Anniversary

MIAMI – Miami-Dade County’s Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson was joined by Commissioner Jean Monestime to present a proclamation on behalf of the Miami-Dade County Commission and the Mayor to Marleine Bastien, founder, former president and current executive director of Fanm Ayisyen Nan Miyami (FANM)/Haitian Women of Miami to commemorate the 20th anniversary of FANM at a celebration held December 1, 2011 at the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center in the City of Aventura.

FANM provides services to Haitian women and their families and the Haitian community at large. Ms. Bastien is also the Vice Chair of the Haitian-American Grassroots Coalition.
