MIAMI – Over the past century, African American life, history and culture have become major forces in the United States and the world. African Americans have influenced music, art, literature and politics and continue to evolve. Miami-Dade County residents and visitors are invited to take part in the events planned throughout Miami-Dade County by the Black Affairs Advisory Board’s Heritage Planning Committee.
