Miami-Dade County and Miami Heat Team Up For Small Businesses

MIAMI, April 8, 2010) – Miami-Dade County Department of Small Business Development (SBD) and the Miami Heat will be hosting “Small Business Night” on Wednesday, April 14th at 7 p.m. Small businesses are invited to come out to the HEAT’s last home game of the 2009-2010 regular season -Miami HEAT vs. New Jersey Nets. Miami-Dade County’s small business community is encouraged to come out and bring friends and family to experience a fun night of NBA action. Tip-off is at 8:00 p.m. and seating is limited.

“This night is a great way for small business owners to receive free recognition at American Airlines Arena and discounted admission that can be extended to their employees and clientele,” said Penelope Townsley, SBD Director. “We will be there to greet current and potential business partners.”

Miami HEAT Small Business Night includes:

– Tickets at a great savings
– Recognition on the scoreboard for any groups of twenty or more*
– Chance to go onto the court after the game and shoot a free throw
– Chance to watch the last game before the playoffs
– Fan Appreciation Day give away
– A “shout out” on SBD’s website
– Meeting and greeting business partners
