Local Bar Associations honor community leaders

MIAMI – On April 17, 2008, the Caribbean Bar Association in conjunction with the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association, the Haitian Lawyers Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the T.J. Reddick Bar Association, the Wilkie D. Ferguson Bar Association and the Dade County Bar Young Lawyers hosted a reception at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida to celebrate the significant professional accomplishments of former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, U.S. District Judge Marcia G. Cooke and Third District Judge Melvia B. Green.

Former Congresswoman Carrie Meeks, Broward and Dade County judges, practitioners representing most of the major voluntary bar organizations, law students and other professionals all came out to support the honorees, network and enjoy the Museum’s current Seminole Arts exhibit.
