Leadership Academy seeking recruits
FT. LAUDERDALE – The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale is seeking young men to participate in one of the most dynamic learning opportunities involving young men across Broward County at their quarterly Leadership Academy.
The Leadership Academy is designed to help mold and shape young men of African/Caribbean descent to become positive influences in our society.
Leadership Academies provide exceptional mentoring for young men in Education, Economic Development, and Health and Wellness.
Beginning Saturday, February 2nd, they will host their first session of the Education Leadership
Academy. This eight week session of the Leadership Academy will discuss Education and Social issues pertinent to young men in Broward County.
Each participant will receive materials that will improve their understanding of “The Social Status of Black Men and Boys” as well as FCAT Test taking skills.
“The knowledge and experience that is gained from the Leadership Academy will educate and support the educational growth of each participant and promises to be a rewarding program”, says Dennis Wright, president of the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
The orientation will take place at the Corporate Headquarters of City Furniture located at
6701 Hiatus Road in Tamarac from 9AM until 12PM.
There will be a $25.00 registration fee which will include all course materials and a continental breakfast for each session.
