Jamaican National wins Georgia’s Secondary School Counselor of the year

ATLANTA – Elaine Grant Bryan, Atlanta’s Jamaican Star, was selected for Region VI Secondary School Counselor of the year 2010-11 by the Georgia School Counselor Association.

Elaine Bryan is a multi-award-winning Counselor in Atlanta, Georgia. This Northwestern University Alumna is currently completing her PhD. Her influence, methodology and special brand of counseling, set her apart from her peers and has earned her enviable recognition. The award is given by GSCA to recognize outstanding achievement by counselors for advising students.


Elaine Bryan – Secondary School Counselor of the year 2010-11

This award is not the first time Ms. Bryan, who is a 10th grade counselor at Chamblee Charter, has received recognition for her work in counseling students. She has been the recipient of numerous awards including the 2008 Dekalb Counselor of the Year and the former Mayor Shirley Franklin Phoenix Award for “Outstanding Achievements in Education and Service to the people of Atlanta.”

Elaine’s expertise in real estate has earned her a spot on several upcoming episodes of “What you Get for the Money” which airs on HGTV & Fine Living Channels. Elaine’s husband, Gregory is a Systems Analyst who also composes, arranges, and performs music.

Mrs. Bryan, a leader of the Leadership Sandy Springs Alumni Council Member, an empowerment speaker, a successful entrepreneur, are all just a few of Mrs Bryan’s accolades, deserving another prestigious award.
