Jamaican Diaspora Southern United States to host Trade and Business Forum

MIAMI – The Jamaican Diaspora Southern United States (JDSUS) and Jamaican USA Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Trade and Business Forum on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Florida Atlantic University, 2912 College Avenue, Liberal Arts Building, Room 120, in Davie from 8:30am – 2pm.

The forum is presented courtesy of National Commercial Bank, Jamaica Ltd. (NCB) and will provide direct access to NCB executives.

Attendees will also have direct access to Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and learn how they can access investment and development opportunities in Jamaica.

Information about the booming tourism sector and how the Diaspora can participate in the growing industry will be presented. Attendees will learn how they can start a business and access funding for business development in Jamaica.

“The Jamaica Diaspora has expressed a yearning for creating business linkages between themselves and the business sector in Jamaica. This Forum will empower all interested parties with the information they will need to make the connection,” says Dahlia A. Walker-Huntington, Advisory Board Member for the Southern United States.
