A pioneer of several business and commercial endeavours, the Honourable Maurice Facey leaves a legacy of incalculable value.
At a time when a gentleman’s agreement is almost redundant and in an era characterised by self-serving interests, Maurice embodied character, patriotism and professionalism, and exported integrity and humility.
In his absence, the business life of this country will inevitably continue, but as he advocated in life and now as his legacy reads, we must commit ourselves and dedicate our lives to restoring the culture of respectability while transforming the way we live, work, do business, raise our families and serve our country.
JAMPRO applauds a life lived well and unselfishly for the land of his birth and salutes his signal contribution to the commercial growth and development of Jamaica and indeed the Caribbean.
On behalf of JAMPRO, the organization which I have the privilege to serve, and personally, I offer heartfelt condolences to his family with whom I mourn but celebrate a life lived conscientiously in God’s creation.
