Jamaica Celebrates World Championship Wins With Amazing Travel Packages And Deals

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Visitors will be sprinting to Jamaica this fall to take advantage of the special packages and deals celebrating Jamaica’s success at the IAAF World Championships in Berlin. The golden Jamaican sun will warm the soul and soothe cares away as visitors dash to Jamaica to take advantage of these packages and deals.

Holiday Inn Sunpree Resort offers the 958 Sale in honor of the new 100-Meter Sprint world record of 9.58 seconds. The 958 Sale enables guests to take advantage of a special rate of US$958 for five-night all-inclusive resort stays based on double occupancy. Additional amenities include an upgrade to a Superior Room, souvenir t-shirt and a Gold Medal massage. Couples receive two 15-minute Gold Medal massages, which can be enjoyed together in a treatment room, guestroom or beachside. The 958 Sale is valid on bookings made by December 17, 2009 for travel completed by December 23, 2009

Half Moon offers the Summer Break Special in celebration of Jamaica’s success at the recent IAAF World Championships in Berlin. The special includes a one category room upgrade, resort credit of US$150 per room, full breakfast daily, round-trip airport transfers and children 12 years and younger stay free with daily breakfast when sharing a room with two adults. Minimum stay of four nights required. Book now through December 10, 2009 for travel until December, 14, 2009. Rates start at US$250 per room per night based on double occupancy.

The Hilton Kingston is celebrating Team Jamaica with two packages. The Gold Medal Holiday Special starts at US$108 for a single guest with a minimum two-night stay. Each additional person is US$30 per night, with a maximum of three guests per room. Children under 12 stay free when sharing a room with an adult. This package can be booked until Oct. 31, 2009 for travel Dec. 19, 2009 – Jan. 3, 2010.

The hotel also offers a World Record Weekend package, applicable for a Thursday through Sunday night stay until Oct. 2, 2009. Room rates start at US$108 for a single guest. Each extra person is US$45 per night, and there is a maximum of three guests per room. Children under 12 stay free when sharing a room with an adult. Rates for both packages are subject to available and applicable inventory, and blackout dates apply. Reservations must be made directly with the Hotel’s Reservations or Sales & Marketing Department.

Firefly Beach Cottages is expecting visitors to sprint to Jamaica in search of the Gold Rush promotion. The Gold Rush gives travelers discounted rates in honor of Jamaica’s gold medal wins at the IAAF World Championship. Minimum five nights stay required.

This package is available for bookings until Sept. 15, 2009, for travel now through April 3, 2010. The package is not combinable with any other promotion or discounts, and blackout dates apply.

Marblue Villa Suites, located at Treasure Beach on Jamaica’s South Coast, offers the Sprint & Run deal: the first 20 callers to book a stay will receive a Jamaican flag and a bottle of Appleton Rum. Marblue is also offering special rates for a three-night stay in the Marblue Verandah Suite starting at US$849 based on double occupancy, which includes continental breakfast, lunch plate and dinner in its award-winning restaurant. Guests who book five nights in the Marblue Verandah Suite will enjoy a rate of US$1,249 based on double occupancy, which includes early check in and late checkout upon availability, continental breakfast or free breakfast room service, lunch plate, and dinner in Marblue’s restaurant with house wine for two, an Island Welcome Drink, an in-suite tropical flower arrangement, 10 percent discount at the bar, free happy hour snacks from 5-6pm, and more.


Island Routes Luxury Adventure Tours created the Championship Jamaican Adventure. For guests that yearn to be as fast as lightning, Island Routes takes to the sky where guests race through the air on the Zipline Tranopy.
