Innovative Technology Conference hosted in Trinidad
Hyatt Regency Trinidad hosted Caribbean Desalination Association 2016 Biennial Conference & Exposition
Port of Spain, Trinidad – The Caribbean’s leading business hotel, Hyatt Regency Trinidad, hosted the Caribbean Desalination Association’s four-day conference promoting membrane technology.
Themed “Developing and Affording New Water Sources,” sessions included Technologies & Innovations, Desalination Using Green Energy, Financing & Economics, SWRO Applications, Planning & Management and Case Studies for Membrane Applications.
Hyatt Regency Trinidad won the bid to host this event, which was vied for from other Caribbean and global destinations. Past Caribbean Desalination Association conferences have been held in Italy, Mexico and Brazil and the next conference will be held in Puerto Rico.
Throughout this conference, various representatives of Trinidad & Tobago companies presented on the actions that they are initiating relating to the topics discussed.
“This conference was an excellent opportunity for Trinidad & Tobago to showcase how companies located here are taking part in protecting the environment with new technologies,” explained Heather Doughlin, Director of Events at Hyatt Regency Trinidad. “The fact that we won the bid to host this important environmental conference shows that our destination is considered innovative by consistently exploring ‘greener’ initiatives.”
Various exhibitors including GE Water and Process Technologies, LG Water Solutions and Republic Bank Limited sponsored the event, educating attendees about their contributions throughout the conference.
