Here’s To Your Health – Health and Wellness Tips For 2013

By: Dax Dunn

PLANTATION – Start the New Year right, we all have wellness front and center as we make our New Years Resolutions, however year after year, our best intentions fall second third and eventually forgotten as we get further into the year.

Here are a few Tips to for greater success:

State your Health and Wellness goals in the positive, simply make the Benefits of wellness in your life the focus of your commitment. For example you have resolved to drink less alcohol, then make your goal, “I will drink 2 glasses of water before I take any alcoholic drink”. To change a habit is hard, it is much easier to modify or replace it with a New habit that better serves you.

This leads to our second tip, while we are anxious to see significant changes in our lives, it is the small subtle changes that over time lead to the greater results we desire. As it relates to Health and Wellness, your daily, and in many cases your moment by moment decisions are the most important aspects affecting your long term health and wellness.

Pay Attention during the day, are you breathing deeply, are you having enough water? Do you invest the time to get enough sleep and chew your food property? You would be surprised at how these simple steps will pay great dividends in a relatively short period of time.

The third and final tip is to be flexible, so many times we get locked into goals and objectives that at the time we made the commitment we were 100% sure that this was what we needed and there was little or know question(we always have doubts, but you get the point). Be open and flexible more important make the time and effort to reevaluate your commitments, depending on the project. This could be done, yearly, monthly, weekly, daily and even in every moment.

In closing, make 2013 a year to Pay Attention to yourself, to listen to your heart and to live your purpose.
