Food, drink tasting, music and give-a-ways galore were just a few highlights at GraceKennedy Financial Service Centre – Caribbean Outpost (GKFSC – CO) one year anniversary and customer appreciation day on Saturday June 25, 2005. Joining in the celebration were Mayor Sam Brown, Deputy Vice Mayor Barrington Russell and Commissioner Hazelle Rodgers.
One year ago GraceKennedy Limited (formerly Grace, Kennedy & Company Limited) opened its second financial service center to serve the Caribbean-American community of South Florida. Since its inception, GKFSC – CO’s has as its mandate to serve and satisfy the needs of Caribbean people with a menu of services that fits their lifestyle.
“This particular one year milestone is dedicated to our customers and friends,” says Donna Gayle, Store Manager of GKFSC – CO. “It is through their support and patronage that we are able to celebrate a year’s worth of success in a competitive market and also our ability to partner with the community on projects and events that assist in developing the City of Lauderdale Lakes. We enjoy giving quality service to our customers all the time”.
In addition to the customer appreciation day celebrations and radio remote, a series of promotions are running at the store that customers can benefit from. From June 13 – August 13, 2005, new customers to GKFSC – CO will have the opportunity of cashing their checks at 50% off the fee; if a customer brings in five new customers to the location to change their checks that customer will get their checks changed for free. GKFSC – CO will also be offering a Check Cashing Discount Program for companies and their employees to receive special rates for cashing their checks at the location. According to Gayle, “employers or employees are more than welcome to call her directly and to learn more about the features and benefits of the Check Cashing Discount Program that other companies and groups are benefiting from.”
Additionally, there are two unique services at the location that are exclusive to Jamaicans. The ability to pay their utility bills, light, water and telephone for their property in Jamaica, and ordering groceries via a catalogue for their family and friends to pick-up in 24 hours at a SuperPlus supermarket nearest them in Jamaica.
GKFSC – CO located at 4232 North State Road 7, Lauderdale Lakes offers a wide range of services to that include Check Cashing, Pay Day Advance, Western Union Money Transfer, Bill Payment for the US and Jamaica, Pay Day Advance, Metro Cards, Bus Passes, Notary Service, Sprint phones, Auto Tags and Titles and more. The location is equipped with highly trained Customer Service Representatives ready to provide the usual warm, friendly service customers have grown accustomed to.
