Leighton “DJ Walshy Fire” Walsh is an original Miami native of Jamaican decent, which explains the rich reggae history. From Toots & The Maytels to Black Eyed Peas, Walshy is known for re-mixing tunes to fit his bashment culture. This international culture has led to affiliations with renowned Beat Street Records, Fader Magazine, Black Chiney Sound, the 2006 & 2007 Miami New Times Best Reggae DJ Title and a personality spot at Clear Channel’s now defunct 103.5FM the Beat just to name a few.
