Fyah Blaze to perform at FAU’s Dance Marathon to benefit The Children’s Miracle Network

Eight76 Records artist Fyah Blaze will perform his hit single “Truths and Rights” on the Detrimental riddim, and more songs from his debut CD by the same name, this weekend at Florida Atlantic University. The fourth annual Dance Marathon, themed “Dance a Night for Children’s Lives,” helps to raise money and awareness for the Children’s Miracle Network. The event will begin Saturday, March 19, at 7 p.m. and continue until 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 20 in the FAU Gymnasium.

Eight76 Records and Fyah Blaze are honored to participate in this charitable event. Fyah Blaze will perform a one hour set, beginning at at 1 a.m. On Friday, March 17, at 2 p.m. he will appear live on FAU’s campus radio WOWL 91.7 FM, on the One World show hosted by 2 Strong Sound, to promote his appearance at the dance marathon. Blaze’s debut CD “Truths and Rights” has been steadily moving up the national CMJ album charts and charting on the X-News South Florida singles and album charts for the past few months.

Dance Marathon is the largest student run charity in the world. Its mission is to provide fundraising support for the Children’s Miracle Network which benefits the Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida. It was started by Penn State University in 1973. Today, dozens of universities across America raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network’s participating hospitals. All proceeds from the event go towards purchasing medical equipment, provide diversionary activities for children and help fund medical research.
