Freddie Kissoon and the Strolling Players to perform in South Florida
Freddie Kissoon and the Strolling Players, a dramatic group from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, will perform at the 13th Annual Arts and Letters Day celebration at Miami-Dade College, Kendall Campus on April 5, 2005.
The group, which has appeared in several countries, will perform three one-act plays entitled Dahlia Darling, Sleepy Valley and We Crucify Him. Dahlia Darling and Sleepy Valley will be performed at Miami-Dade College, Kendall Campus and at the Broward County African-American Research Library and Cultural Center. We Crucify Him will be performed at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.
The performance at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center will be on April 7, and at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, West Palm Beach on April 9.
Dr. Leroy Lashley, a professor at Miami-Dade College is responsible for bringing the group to South Florida.
