Creating and Maintaining Safe Relationships and Personal Boundaries

    • When: On October 29, 2019 at 10:30 AM
    • Where: Jewish Federation of Broward County Katz Building, 5890 South PIne Island Road, Davie, FL 33328
    • Notes:

It is critical that people with developmental disabilities know how to keep themselves safe and to understand the “relationship spectrum.” In this workshop, adults with developmental disabilities and their families will explore the risks of being in a relationship, learn how to set boundaries and avoid exploitation, identify support systems and discuss what it means to be in a healthy and safe relationship.

The seminar is free and open to the community. Presented by Joshua’s Path at Goodman JFS of Broward County. The Joshua’s Path program supports, educates and empowers adults with developmental disabilities, their parents, siblings and other caregivers by providing free consultations, a searchable website, resources and educational seminars.

For more information, please contact Sharlene Glassman, Joshua’s Path Caregiver Support and Education Manager, at 954-909-0822 or email [email protected].
