A Mother’s Unconditional Love from Kidney Donor to Organ Transplant Advocate
No one knows better that a mother’s love is unconditional than Judith Charlton, who works for Broward County. When she gave birth to her first child, Charlton, 32 years ago this past June, she learned he was diagnosed with Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome. She donated her right kidney to him when he was three years old and he has since received a second transplant. He has been on dialysis now for 10 years, awaiting a third transplant. Her passion is to raise awareness to the importance of organ donation. One live can save eight! Are you an organ donor?
