Island SPACE Caribbean Museum invites you to a special Jamaican Independence Day Fireside Chat as part of Jamaican Consul General R. Oliver Mair’s Distinguished Lecture Series.

On Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 6pm – 8:30pm, join us for an inspiring evening of insight and conversation as we celebrate the remarkable story of the first Black woman to become a bishop in the Church of England—told through her inspiring book, The Girl from Montego Bay. A book signing will follow.

Presented by: Island SPACE Caribbean Museum, The Consulate General of Jamaica- Miami and Jamaican Women of Florida.
