HAITI – Economic/Commercial Chief John G. Robinson visited S&H Global’s apparel factory in Caracol, Northeast Haiti. As the anchor tenant in the Caracol Industrial Park, S&H will employee 1,000 Haitians by year’s end and 20,000 at full capacity.
Apparel exports to the United States benefit from U.S. Trade preferences under HOPE/HELP legislation, which also ensures compliance with international core labor standards.
The Haitian government’s Societe Nationale des Parcs Industriels (SONAPI) owns the Caracol Industrial Park, which will create up to 65,000 jobs with the arrival of additional factory tenants.
