delancyhill Honors Dade Community Foundation

At a unique celebration for Black History Month, the law firm of delancyhill, P.A. celebrated with clients, firm partners, and community leaders, in honoring the Dade Community Foundation as a philanthropic leader and for providing permanent endowment for the black community of Greater Miami.

In a recent reception at the Miami City Club, Downtown, Miami, the Firm hosted some 150 persons as a gesture of recognition for the support that they have given to the law practice and to the leadership development of the Firm’s attorneys.

The Black History Month celebration also inspired delancyhill to create the award of Firm Partner Star that was first offered to the Dade Community Foundation, for its ”permanent contributions and support to the African-American communities of the Greater Miami”. The award was presented at the reception to Ruth Shack, president of the organization that manages assets and funds valued over $115 million.

”Aside from offering quality legal services to our clients, we desire to establish meaningful relationships with our clients and Firm partners. The Dade Community has been extremely supportive of our Firm and to the community which we serve on a daily basis,” stated Marlon A. Hill, Managing Partner of Client Relations and Strategic Planning of delancyhill. “And these relationships form the foundation of support for our business and our clients, today and tomorrow”, added Hill.

In 1999, Hill, along with 17 other young professionals formed part of the first group that participated in a leadership development program of the Foundation known as Miami Fellows Initiative. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation created the program in 1999 that is now primarily supported by the James L. Knight Foundation. ”The Miami Fellows Initiative bolstered my vision of my community and opened doors of boundless opportunities”, commented Hill.

“We simply wanted to convey our sincere thanks to our clients and Firm partners, especially the Foundation, for supporting us in this entrepreneurial journey,” commented Michelle A. Delancy, Managing Partner of Firm Administration of delancyhill.
