Courts Caribbean Makes New York Splash

NEW YORK – Courts Caribbean, the Caribbean’s furniture, electronics and appliances giant, debuted in North America over the weekend with a splash at the annual West Indian Labor Day Carnival in Brooklyn and top reggae event, Irie Jamboree.

Veteran soca performer, Allison Hinds, was on hand for the debut, greeting several visitors to the vibrant yellow-colored Courts tent at the Jamboree in Jamaica, Queens and at the carnival tent at the corner of New York and Eastern Parkway.

Hinds was hosted by Courts on their carnival float, which made its way down the Parkway as part of the Borokeete USA Mas band. Courts Caribbean led the band with a Queen costume that showcased the company’s dynamic yellow, red and blue colors, while Hinds kept revelers jumping to pulsating soca music atop the truck, decorated with the Courts banners. Several revelers, decked out in shimmering yellow costumes offered a real burst of sunshine on a hot day, along the band.

The excitement about Courts` North American launch was also evident at Irie Jam, where dozens stopped by the Courts tent to get more information about the opening, scheduled for October 24 at 2822 Church Avenue, between Nostrand and Rogers Avenues in Brooklyn.

The company was aided in its New York launch by Hard Beat Communications, the minority certified PR and AD agency specializing in the Caribbean Diaspora and Caribbean markets.
