Miami Carnival/Mardi Gras Parade 2005 will be held on Sunday, October 9th, in downtown Miami, culminating at Bicentennial Park on Biscayne Blvd. Generation X, the masquerade band that has made its mark as the most popular in Miami Carnival, is expecting a capacity crowd to kick off the 2005 carnival season with its Band Launching on Friday, July 29, 2005 at Bayside Hut on Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne.
The Generation X presentation this year is entitled “Euphoria”, and is a symbolization of the total “GenX-perience”. It encompasses all the emotions aroused by playing Mas(the term used for dancing in the streets in the parade in costume) with Generation X and is depicted in each of the costumed sections with designs direct from the birthplace of Carnival, Trinidad and Tobago.
