CaribVision to broadcast Jamaicans going to the polls and NY Labor Day festivities

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – On September 3, the Caribbean region and its Diaspora will witness history in the making as Jamaicans go to the poll while an estimated 3 million people descend upon Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, NYC – which the CMC will broadcast on CaribVision.

The momentous dual broadcast of the Jamaica polls and the annual Labour Day Carnival will encompass a series of live segments throughout the entire day on the 100% Caribbean channel – CaribVision.

News anchors and correspondents in the field and the CMC’s studios in Barbados will keep the region abreast of the latest developments concerning both events.

Election Day coverage on September 3 will encompass a series of five-minute morning, midday, and evening reports, a one-hour panel discussion of Jamaican analysts and experts from 9:30-10:30pm, followed by a LIVE feed at 10:30-12 midnight East Caribbean time compliments of CMC’s partner station Television Jamaica (TVJ) of the RJR Group of Companies.

Meanwhile in NYC, Anthony “Admiral” Nelson, will be reporting amidst all the action on the road as both diplomats and revelers walk the popular “Parkway” route like so many others have done before.

“The CMC recognizes the significance of both events to our Caribbean communities hence our decision to feature a dual broadcast,” said Errol Clarke, the CMC’s Chief Operating Officer.

“Viewers both regionally and internationally can be sure that CaribVision will be there every step of the way providing them with coverage throughout the day.”

To be in the front seat of all the action as it occurs viewers can tune into CaribVision – available throughout 19 Caribbean territories and in the USA on DirecTV channel 2181.
