Caribbean-Americans urged to take part in Super Tuesday & VOTE

MIAMI – A South Florida based group, Caribbean-American Politically Active Citizens are committed to increasing voter turnout on Tuesday, January 29 and urging Caribbean-Americans who are eligible to vote, to go out and vote on Super Tuesday, January 29.

Caribbean-American Politically Active Citizens (CPAC) is non-partisan and based on the recommendations of a panel of advisors, they make recommendations on which candidates and issues would be most beneficial to Caribbean Americans in South Florida.

To vote on all ballot questions (including the presidential race) in a primary election, you need to have a party affiliation. If you are a registered voter with “no-party affiliation” (you are not registered as a Democrat or a Republican), you will only be able to vote for the constitutional amendments and county questions. You will not be able to vote for a presidential candidate on Super Tuesday, January 29.

In order to vote on all questions in the next primary election, you need to declare a party affiliation by filling out a new voters’ registration application and indicate a party change before July 25, 2008.
