Broward County Transit Provides Bus Service to International Cricket Tournament

LAUDERHILL – Cricket fans are encouraged to take Broward County Transit (BCT) to the 2008 MAQ T20 International Cricket Tournament. The games will be held on Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25, at the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, located at 3700 N.W. 11th Place and Hwy. 441.

Cricketers from India, Pakistan, the West Indies, and the United States will compete, and two nights of concert entertainment will be provided by well-known Caribbean musicians.

BCT routes 18, 36, 40 and 81 stop at the Lauderhill Mall, located on the west side of the park, at N.W. 12th Street and Hwy. 441. Routes 36 and 40 also stop in front of the park. Transfers to these routes can be made from intersecting routes throughout the county, and to routes 40 and 81 at the Central Bus Terminal in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

The adult bus fare is only $1.25 each way; youth 18 years and under and seniors 65 years and over pay only $.60 each way. Children 40 inches tall and under ride for free. All buses are air-conditioned and wheelchair/scooter accessible.
