Body Nation Dance Theatre celebrate 16 years
Body Nation Dance Theatre, Inc. (BNDT) will kick off their 16th anniversary of the Dance Theatre’s Season of Caribbean Dance & Cultural Performance with a performance entitled, “Culture Zone”.
Under the distinguished patronage of the Jamaican Consul General, Mr. Ricardo Allicock, this performance will be held on Sunday, October 23 at 5pm at the North Miami Beach Performing Arts Theater located at 17011 NE 19th Avenue in North Miami Beach.
The fully costumed performance will be set in a Caribbean atmosphere and will feature works of African, Reggae, Calypso, Soca, Gospel, Modern, Jazz and Hip-Hop under the artistic direction of Jamaican-born Marie A. Minto.
BNDT is highly regarded in South Florida for it’s commitment to community services through performances for at-risk youth and senior citizens.
BNDT has represented the minority community by participating in major festivals, parades and other functions throughout Miami-Dade & Broward Counties, such as the Orange Bowl Parade, the Opening Ceremony for the Olympic Soccer Games, The Super Bowl, South Florida ReggaeSoca Awards, Art Deco on South Beach, The Real Men Real Cook Fund-raiser, NAACP Annual Freedom Fund Gala and much more.
