Barrington Irving set to return from his world mission
OPA LOCKA – Captain Barrington Irving, Jr., will return from his historic world mission today, Wednesday (June 27).
If weather permits, he is scheduled to arrive at 10:30 a.m. at the Opa Locka Airport in Miami.
Live updates are available on his web-site, www.experienceaviation.com and on NewsTalk 1080AM. CNN is scheduled to do a live broadcast of his arrivial.
Barrington Irving, a 23-year old senior majoring in aerospace at Florida Memorial University and will be the first person of African descent and the youngest person ever to fly solo around the globe.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in inner-city Miami, Barrington hopes his historic flight will inspire other young people to resist the negative influences of the streets and work toward their dreams.
