American Friends of Jamaica looking for a new Executive Director

NEW YORK – The American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ), a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting Jamaican charitable organizations and social initiatives targeted at improving the lives of Jamaicans through systemic development in the areas of education, healthcare and economic development is seeking an Executive Director in there New York office.

The Executive Director will be responsible for leading the organization to new levels of growth and impact and will report to the Board of Directors and be responsible for duties including administration, strategy and operations, development/ fundraising, grants management, partnerships, capacity building as well as ensuring the strategic direction of the organization.

legacy of philanthropy dedicated to the people of Jamaica, raising over US 11 million dollars to
date on behalf of Jamaica’s non-profit and charitable organizations.

The AFJ’s activities are supported by American multinational corporations with commercial interests in Jamaica, American winter residents, members of the diplomatic corps, the Jamaican Diaspora, and the Jamaican private sector.
