MIAMI – On Friday, August 6th representatives of the I AM JAMAICA Movement and prominent leaders of the Jamaican community in South Florida met at the Miami Tower for a spontaneous toast to Jamaica’s Independence during the lighting ceremony of the 50-story Miami Tower.
In commemoration of the 48th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence, the iconic Miami Tower illuminated the Miami skyline in black, green and gold, the colors of Jamaican flag.

The illuminated Miami Tower in Jamaican Colors will remain in effect until dawn Monday, August 9.
