Jamaica’s NEM Insurance Offers Water Aid to Haiti

KINGSTON, Jamaica – NEM Insurance Company is donating three container loads of ‘Wata’ bottled by the Wisynco Group of Companies, valued at $1 million to the Haitian relief effort, Chris Hind, General Manager, announced this morning.

He pointed out that potable water is one of the most critical requirements when reliable supplies are disrupted in a natural disaster; and said that the water will be shipped to Haiti through the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM).

“We offer our sincere sympathies, to the people of Haiti,” Mr. Hind said, “and NEM joins with the government, churches, corporate entities and organisations in Jamaica in responding to some of the very basic needs of the Haitian people in their time of need.”
