Logo competition for CARICOM nationals

BARBADOS – One lucky CARICOM national could be US $2,500 richer if his/her design is chosen in a ‘Community Competition Commission’ logo contest.

The event, which is being hosted by the CARICOM Secretariat, aims to select an appropriate logo for the Community Competition Commission, as part of the promotional activities towards the creation of a CARICOM competition culture.

Formal presentation of work by entrants should be on board in black and white; and in color, with a minimum size of 4”x4”. It should represent the values of the Competition Commission, and should be easy to reproduce on any medium and on any surface, and should also have the ability for reduction to ½” in size while maintaining clarity.

The design may include a group of words or symbols reflecting the purpose of the Commission in regulating cross border business conduct and the promotion and protection of competition in the Community.

Finished artwork is to be supplied in digital format (i.e. computer graphic formats on CD and there should also be a hard copy on white paper). The copyright of the chosen design will reside with the Community Competition Commission and the Commission reserves the right to modify any portion in the design of the winning entry.

Applicants must submit their designs to the Programme Manager, CSME Unit, for the attention of: Salas Hamilton, Specialist Communications, CARICOM Secretariat, CSME Unit, 6th Floor, Tom Adams Financial Centre, Church Village, St. Michael, by December 9, 2007.
