Miami’s Third Annual Haitian-Caribbean Book Fair Celebrates Sosyete Koukouy’s 50th Anniversary
MIAMI – Sosyete Koukouy of Miami, Inc., with support from The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as part of its Knights Arts Challenge, and Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs, Miami Dade Department of Cultural Affairs, and Commissioner Keon Hardemon presents its 3rd Annual Haitian-Caribbean Book Fair and celebrates Sosyete Koukouy’s 50th Anniversary.
Saturday, May 23rd, 6-10pm at the Little Haiti Cultural Center
Bringing renowned Haitian and Caribbean authors to Miami, Sosyete Koukouy’s 3rd Annual Book Fair kicks off on Saturday night with an evening presentation with award-winning Haitian intellectuals Edwidge Danticat, Bernard Diederich, and Gérard Férère, as well as cultural and local artist performances.
Sunday, May 24th, 10am – 6pm, Little Haiti Cultural Center & Mapou Cultural Center
The festivities continue with authors and vendors set up along NE 2nd Ave and NE 59th Terrace in Little Haiti, a children’s corner including magicians, dancing, and storytelling, and traditional Haitian music, food, dance, and workshops for all to enjoy.
