LAUDERHILL – US Open 2012 will be the largest cricket tournament ever hosted in the United States.
The Kick-Off opening ceremony will be held on December 6, 2012 at 8am. The Opening Ceremonies for the 4th Annual US Cricket Open will take place at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill 3700 N.W. 11th Place, Lauderhill, Florida 33311 (State Road 7/U.S.441 and Sunrise Blvd.), Florida. The Master of Ceremonies will be Mahammad A. Qureshi (MAQ), the founder of US Cricket Open.
Many teams combined with former international, national and local stars will be converging upon beautiful South Florida to compete for the Championship Trophy and for the cash prizes of $100,000.00.
The US Cricket Open began in 2009 and has grown from an initial twelve (12) team competition, to twenty (20) teams in 2010, (32) thirty two teams in 2011 and we are expecting more than (32) thirty two teams in 2012 and more than 750 cricket players both National and International will be participating.
This year, an overwhelming demand to participate has brought that number up. The US Open will also be live streaming on the internet where over (2) two million viewers will enjoy this event and over (20) twenty million email and Facebook® subscribers. Considering there are 800 teams in the US alone “this was an unexpected and delightful response,” beams founder MAQ.
This event is now the fastest growing sporting event in the US since its humble inception in 2008.
