World’s third largest cruise line donates Caribbean cruise for two for the CTO’s Caribbean Tourism Month contest

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The world’s third largest cruise line has come out in support of Caribbean Tourism Month, organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).

Princess Cruises is offering a seven-day Caribbean cruise for two as the main prize for a contest to be run by the CTO during Caribbean Tourism Month in November. The prize was secured through the efforts of the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), a partner in Caribbean tourism and a member of the CTO.

“Princess Cruises is pleased to participate in Caribbean Tourism Month and proud to support the Caribbean Tourism Organization and the FCCA,” said Dean C. Brown, executive vice president of Princess Cruises, part of Carnival Corporation which is one of the world’s largest holiday companies.

The contest will be run on the CTO Facebook page. Members of the travelling public will be asked to post photographs of their funniest Caribbean experiences”. Contest rules and terms and conditions can be found at www.onecaribbean.org.
“The CTO welcomes the support of Princess Cruises and the FCCA, both invaluable partners in Caribbean tourism,” said Hugh Riley, CTO’s secretary general. “The Princess Cruises prize is an exciting addition which will help to attract attention to the importance of Caribbean Tourism Month”.

The CTO and its member countries observe Caribbean Tourism Month in November of each year to raise awareness among the people of the Caribbean of the importance of tourism to the Caribbean, to raise the profile of the Caribbean tourism in the market place and to attract positive media coverage for and of the Caribbean.

This year, Caribbean Tourism Month is being celebrated under the theme “One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean, placing emphasis on the many attributes that we share as a region.
