T&T Carnival in Miami: T&T Music Icon Calypso Rose this Saturday, 7:30pm at Adrienne Arsht Center

MIAMI – Are you ready for a taste of Trinidad & Tobago Carnival in Miami?

This Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center there will be a 7:30pm special pre-performance Carnival music set with DJ Maestro; than at 8:30pm Trinidad & Tobago’s Music Icon, Calypso Rose will be performing live.

CALYPSO ROSE, the first female Calypso artist to receive acclaim in Trinidad and Tobago during the peak of Calypso music in the 60s and 70s, is most noted for her hit song “Fire in Meh Wire,” which has become a nationally recognized Calypso anthem. In addition to performing this legendary hit, the artist will mark her Arsht Center debut with fan favorites from her 50-year career, including “Israel by Bus,” the chart-topping lead single from her latest album Calypso Rose.
