Trinidadian in new TNT Series: “Memphis Beat”

LOS ANGELES – Trinbagonian-native, Arthur Joseph will once again grace millions of television screens in the US and around the globe as he portrays a central character in the season premiere of a brand new television series called MEMPHIS BEAT.

Scheduled to debut on popular station TNT, next Tuesday night at 10 pm, MEMPHIS BEAT centers on Dwight Hendricks (Actor: Jason Lee), a quirky Memphis police detective with an intimate connection to the city, a passion for blues music and a close relationship with his mother.

Joseph portrays the role of a 40-year-old Haitian character named Abonnis Canu, who is a Club Owner and a very influential person in an area called Little Haiti. In the pilot episode, a murder has occurred in Little Haiti and is being investigated by Hendricks and his partner, Charlie White as portrayed by Sam Hennings (Saving Grace). Their investigation leads them to Joseph’s character, who is known as “The Mayor of Little Haiti” and is believed to have information which could assist in their investigation.
