FT. LAUDERDALE – Travel agents and cruising enthusiasts were given a taste of Trinidad and Tobago at a destination workshop held on Friday, April 24th, 2015 at the Broward County Convention Centre in Fort Lauderdale.  The workshop was part of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Cruise 3Sixty Conference which took place from April, 22nd to 26th2015.

Trinidad and Tobago also participated in the two day trade show, which formed part of the conference and during which visitors to the Trinidad and Tobago booth were provided with valuable destination information and treated to samples of local sweets and organic chocolates.

The Cruise Lines International Association is the world’s largest cruise association dedicated to the promotion and growth of the cruise industry. The association is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year and hosts the CLIA Cruise 3Sixty conference annually with the aim of bringing together travel agents, cruise lines, destination management organisations and service providers to facilitate the development of global cruise travel. This was the fourth year that Trinidad and Tobago has participated as an exhibitor at CLIA’s Cruise3Sixty and it is expected that events such as this will serve to increase interest and calls by some of the world’s major lines to both the Port of Spain and Scarborough ports.
