Thrilling Performances From Jennifer Hudson, Lady Saw and Beenie Man At Reggae Sumfest

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – Grammy award winning Jennifer Hudson, one of the headliners for this year’s Reggae Sumfest, delivered an amazing performance during International Night 2 of the just concluded music festival at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay. Hudson, who was making her second visit to Jamaica, left patrons begging for more after her almost hour long set which included hits such as “Whatever Makes You Happy,” “Pocketbook,” “Spotlight,” and “Where You At.” Sponsored by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), Reggae Sumfest is an annual event which attracts a number of international and local acts.

Among this year’s headliners were Common, T.I., Yazz, Beenie Man, Cocoa Tea, Lady Saw and Christopher Martin.

King and Queen of the Dancehall Beenie Man and Lady Saw closed Dancehall Night and International Night 2 respectively. Beenie Man delivered an electrifying performance while Lady Saw made history, becoming the first female to close the show in the festival’s 23 year history.
