The Miami-Dade Chamber Of Commerce Annual Gala Celebrates “Building Alliances Through Urban Partnerships”

MIAMI – The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce will host its annual holiday Gala, Friday December 1, 2006 at the Sheraton Miami Mart Hotel.

The Gala honors the accomplishments of and participants in the Urban Prosperity Partnership (UPP), an initiative between seven (7) major corporations and seven (7) Black owned businesses in Miami Dade County.

This year’s honorees will be the first in a select group, the inaugural class of the ‘Urban Partnership for Prosperity’. This program is facilitating major change in our community, literally, “Building Alliances through Urban Partnerships”. The program unites leading corporations throughout Miami Dade County with minority owned businesses, laying the groundwork for limitless possibilities.

The 2006 honorees are: Holsen, Inc , Seitlin Insurance, In Touch Logistics , Ryder Systems, Inc, the Real Estate Resource Group , EWM, Circle of One Marketing, Regions Bank, Michelle Lynn Solutions ,KPMG, Foster Construction , Burger King and AIA and The Miami Herald,

In keeping with the shared mission of the Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce and the Beacon Council for progress towards economic parity in South Florida’s business community, the theme of the event is LET IT SNOW, WATCH US GROW, LET IT SNOW. Attendees can expect to enjoy an elegant evening of networking, dining and dancing with R & B superstars, the SOS Band! Tickets and table reservations for the Gala can be purchased through the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce for $100.

Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce President, Bill Diggs says “Our thirteen honorees have created the kind of partnership and business collaboration that will set the standard for how minority and majority based corporations can work together to create a better business environment for the entire community”. He also states that the evening “will pay homage to our dedicated visionaries who are exhibiting non traditional leadership skills to ensure the success of the program”.

The Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce Gala has earned a well deserved reputation as one of the best corporate and social events of the holiday season, featuring stellar entertainment, fine food and a diverse mix of South Florida’s corporate leaders. This year will be no exception.

The cocktail hour begins at 7:00 pm with dinner at 8:00 pm and promises to be an unforgettable evening, a celebration of true excellence and extraordinary entertainment by The SOS Band.
