The City Of Miramar Hosts Free Career Fair On June 18

Miramar 60thMIRAMAR – The City of Miramar and WSVN-7, in partnership with CareerSource Broward and Mission United (for veterans), is proud to host their annual career fair, Thursday, June 18th, at Miramar Town Center, 2300 Civic Center Place from 9am-2:30pm.

More than 50 vendors, such as Carnival Cruise Line, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Mattress Firm, Pirtle Construction, Teleperformer and others will be on-site and interviewing on-the-spot for openings at their respective companies.
“We are hosting this career Fair as a community partnership that will give our Miramar residents and surrounding cities access to a large number of companies in a one-stop environment. Miramar has the unique distinction of being one of the fastest growing and most diverse communities in the nation, and this Career fair will bolster employment for residents and promote professional opportunities for many job seekers,” says E. Elizabeth Pinnock, Human Resources Manager for Innovation and Special Projects.

Many industries will be represented, including construction, customer service, education, health and human services, insurance, government, medicine, nursing and many more. Employment opportunities will range from entry-level to management positions.

CareerSource Broward will also be conducting free workshops throughout the career fair, including tips on resume writing, interviewing skills, dress for success and much more.

All applicants are encouraged to dress in business attire and bring at least 20 copies of his/her resume to share with recruiters. It is free and open to the public.
