The 3rd Annual Dennis Zaidie Memorial Football Match: St. Georges vs Jamaica College

MIRAMAR – The 3rd Annual soccer match between the Jamaica College Old Boys Association of South Florida and the St. George’s College Old Boys Association of Florida, for the Dennis Zaidie Trophy, will take place at 4pm on Saturday April 21 at the Silver Shores Park, in Miramar.

The annual match is in memory of Dennis Zaidie, who coached both schools to Manning Cup victories. This year will mark the 21st year of the death of Dennis Zaidie in a car crash in Mexico at the 1986 World Cup.

Last year’s match drew over 350 spectators and supporters of both schools.

Silver Shores Park is located at 15700 Pembroke Road (southeast corner of Dykes Road and Pembroke road) in Miramar.


The Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida was established in 2004 as a 501(c) (3). The Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida is committed to uphold the traditions of excellence of Jamaica College as one of the foremost educational institution in the country of Jamaica and to support the school in the development of its students.

St. George’s College Old Boys Association of Florida, Inc. was incorporated in 2004 as a charitable non-profit corporation under the General Non-Profit Association Law of the State of Florida. Their objectives are: to foster the development of educational and extracurricular resources at St. George’s College; To advance education by providing scholarships to graduating students of St. George’s College for matriculation in a college or university; To provide a vehicle through which individuals and corporations may make charitable contributions to the St. George’s College alumni fund.
