Swearing-In Ceremony Planned for Newly Elected Broward County

FT. LAUDERDALE – The Swearing-In Ceremony of Broward County Newly Elected State Legislators will be held at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, 2650 Sistrunk Blvd., Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.

The newly elected officials which includes Caribbean-American State Representative Hazelle Rogers are State Senator Christopher L. Smith, State Senator Eleanor Sobel, State Representative Gwyndolen Clarke-Reed, and . Judge Carole Taylor, 4th District Court of Appeals, will officiate.

Speakers will include Broward County Vice Mayor Stacy Ritter, Senator Jeremy Ring and Representative Perry Thurston.

There will be a reception immediately following the ceremony.
